ABOUT
Adrian Barbu is a contemporary artist whose work explores
memories, personal identity and the emotional transformation through a
fearless use of colour and layered textures.
He made his artistic debut with Astrofeels; a collection emphisizing
the resonance of celestial bodies and the interplay between cosmic forms
and inner states.

Adrian Barbu built a distinguished career in luxury fashion as a
Global Director of Visual Merchandising for Tom Ford. The exposure to
this opulence ignited an intricate understanding of the worlds he had
conquered. This led to assertively embracing the uncomplicated
upbringing of his childhood, vulneralby sharing the summers spent
helping his mother—then a florist—preparing bouquets to sell at the local
market; games of trust and bonding with his brothers, and those silent
moments of internal questioning in a home shaped both by religious
discipline and emotional restraint.

Floral motifs reappear throughout the series of his latest work. Not
only as a tribute to his mother; additionally weaving enduring metaphors
for growth, impermanence, and fragility whilst celebrating resilience and
survival.
